The ordinance codified in this chapter is adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 7 (commencing with Section 5040) of Chapter 5 and Section 5470 through and including Section 5473.11 of Article 4 of Chapter 6, of Part 3, Division 5 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California for the purpose of establishing, prescribing and fixing charges for services and facilities furnished by the District and charges for the privilege of connecting to the sewage facilities of the District. In addition, this chapter establishes procedures for the collection of charges, and prescribes penalties and remedies. (Ord. 4 §1.2, 1973)
